At Conley Stadium, Providence, RI

For track and field athletes in New England, the quest for a "Personal Best" never truly stops. It’s a pursuit measured in milliseconds and centimeters, found in the quiet moments of a perfect block start or the rhythmic snap of a successful high jump clearance. If you are a passionate athlete looking to refine your technique, gain a competitive edge, and train alongside the most respected minds in the sport, the wait is over.

The COR Athletics Track Clinic is returning for its most ambitious year yet, taking place on August 1st and 2nd, 2026, at the historic Conley Stadium in Providence, RI.

This intensive two-day clinic is meticulously designed for athletes of all levels—from those just stepping onto the synthetic rubber to seasoned competitors aiming for collegiate recruitment. This isn't just a weekend of practice; it is a masterclass in performance, hosted by world-class coaches and athletes dedicated to helping you take your track and field career to the next level.

Renowned Coaches: Access to the Ivy League and Beyond

The cornerstone of the COR Athletics Clinic has always been its exceptional coaching staff. We believe that to be the best, you must learn from the best. This year, we are proud to announce that our staff includes coaches from seven Ivy League schools, alongside elite NCAA Division I programs and former professional athletes.

This provides our participants with unparalleled access to a wealth of knowledge that is usually reserved for top-tier collegiate recruits. Whether you are aiming to catch the eye of a recruiter or simply want to understand the biomechanics of your sprint phase, our instructors offer practical, high-level guidance tailored to your specific goals.

Why the Coaching Pedigree Matters

In track and field, "working hard" is only half the battle; "working right" is what wins championships. Our coaches specialize in:

  • Video Analysis: Breaking down your form in real-time to identify energy leaks.

  • Event-Specific Drills: Moving beyond standard warm-ups into elite-level technical preparation.

  • The Mental Game: Learning how to handle the pressure of the starting line and the "big meet" atmosphere.

Two Days of Transformation: What to Expect

The 2026 clinic is structured to provide a balance of high-intensity technical work and educational seminars. We’ve expanded our curriculum to ensure that every event group—Sprints, Hurdles, Jumps, and Throws—receives specialized attention.

Day 1: Foundation and Technical Mastery (August 1)

The first day focuses on the "how" and "why" of athletic movement. After a dynamic group warm-up led by our strength and conditioning specialists, athletes break off into their specific event groups.

  • Sprints & Hurdles: Focus on acceleration mechanics, hurdle rhythm, and maximal velocity posture.

  • Jumps: Deep dives into approach consistency and the physics of the takeoff.

  • Throws: Concentrating on rotational power, release angles, and explosive delivery.

Day 2: Advanced Application and Competition Simulation (August 2)

On the second day, we take the foundations built on Saturday and apply them to competitive scenarios.

  • The "Recruitment Seminar": A dedicated session where our Ivy League and D1 coaches sit down with athletes and parents to discuss the reality of college recruiting in 2026, academic requirements, and how to build an athletic resume.

  • Mock Competition: Athletes will have the chance to execute their new techniques in a controlled, competitive environment with live coaching feedback between "attempts."

The Conley Stadium Advantage

There is something special about training at Conley Stadium in Providence. As a hub for New England track and field, the atmosphere itself breeds excellence. The facility allows us to utilize multiple runways, throwing circles, and a world-class track surface that ensures athletes can train at 100% intensity while minimizing the risk of impact-related injuries.

August in Rhode Island provides the perfect backdrop for this clinic. Coming off the back of the summer season, August 1-2 is the ideal time for athletes to "reset." For those entering their fall cross-country season, it’s a chance to sharpen their speed; for those looking toward the indoor winter season, it’s the perfect time to begin technical overhauls before the school year begins.

Tailored for All Levels

One of the most common questions we receive is: "Am I fast enough/good enough to attend?"

The answer is a resounding yes.

The COR Athletics philosophy is built on the belief that elite coaching should be accessible to everyone with the drive to improve. We categorize our sessions so that beginners receive the foundational cues they need to stay safe and improve quickly, while elite high school athletes are challenged with the same drills used by Olympic-caliber programs.

  • Beginners: Build a "technical toolbox" that will prevent bad habits before they start.

  • Intermediate: Focus on "efficiency"—learning how to run faster or jump further with less wasted effort.

  • Advanced/Elite: Focus on "optimization"—the 1% shifts in technique that lead to 10% gains in performance.

Beyond the Track: The COR Athletics Community

When you register for the August 1-2 clinic, you aren't just signing up for a series of drills. You are joining a community of like-minded New England athletes. The connections made at Conley Stadium often last long after the weekend is over.

Athletes leave our clinic not just with better form, but with a renewed sense of confidence. There is a specific psychological shift that happens when a coach from a top university looks at you and says, "That’s it. That’s the adjustment." That confidence is what carries you through the grueling winter training months and the high-pressure spring state championships.
